2008 Distinction Award, Outdoor Living Area, Design/Build
The Daniels residence presented an awesome challenge in that this amazing house needed landscaping to match its grand style while closing the expansive space to create an intimate outdoor living area. This was accomplished with a combination of hardscape features (flagstone terraces, a paver pool deck, natural and masonry stone steps, retaining walls), water elements(pool, hot tub, sheer descents) and a combination of native and non-native plantings that were well suited for full sun exposure yet deer resistant. The end result was a peaceful, colorful, environmentally-friendly rear yard retreat.
